Last year we were able to provide 125 pairs of warm “jammies” for the children of Riverfront.Ĭommunity Meals – Groton Congregational offers a weekly community meal each Saturday from noon to 1:00 p.m. In an absurd and rather fabulous move, one of the gargoyles was replaced by a depiction of the alien from the 1979 movie of the same name. Grammies Jammie s – We are partnered with the Riverfront Children’s Center and each winter collect “jammies”. The church was renovated during the 1990s, at which point several of the original gargoyles needed to be replaced. In addition to being a lot of fun for the children, this provides much needed meals as well. There is great enthusiasm and joy in giving back to our community.Ĭamp for Kids – Each year our missions team works hard to raise funds to help underprivileged children attend a wonderful day-camp for the entire summer.
